A Conversation with Jacques Pepin

Published by Z at 8:35 am under awesome time, food

I was doing my usual morning surf of the news and blogosphere, and I came across this clip on Salon that I just had to share here. I’ve always thought Jacques Pepin was a brilliant chef, and it turns out he’s generally a pretty interesting guy too. Enjoy.

    Well that was…interesting…ish

I do enjoy this particular brand of French accent. It’s a tick classier than the nasal AND throaty version so popular among every douchebaggy walking French stereotype you’ve ever seen, in person or otherwise.

Interesting that he wasn’t allowed anywhere near the dining room in all his time working for the prez. “Suure you can conjure up your magically delicious haute cuisine night after night, but keep your poor bourgeoise ass in the kitchen, biotch!” (might be paraphrasing a bit there)

It’s come to my attention that I am, at present, the only member of your readership(which at the moment we can only confirm consists of yours truly) to comment. I feel this merits some sort of accolade.

I nominate myself to present aforementioned accolade.

    I second the motion.

Me, you are awesome and a key contributer to the ongoing success of this blog.

Thank you me, this is a very proud day for me, myself and of course Strongbad, who sadly could not make it to today’s festivities due to a wicked case of trenchfoot of the hand, which was the result of years of accumulation of moisture inside of the boxing gloves he has not once ever removed.

I’m Ron Mexico’s Lonely Condom, I’m fairly confident i’m not currently hallucinating and I approve the above run-on sentence.
